The History of Cafe Rizz

Cafe Rizz was originally located in front of the DuEkSam in Cadiz City and was originally called Kape Saboroso. This was because our owner Rizz of Cafe Rizz was handed over the Recipe of the original Cadiz Native Coffee Brewing technique from her grandmother Lola Morita.

On our initial opening, we served mostly different native coffees, chocos, sikwate and cocoa variations. All with native foods and other variations. We maintained the bamboo look and native theme of the shop until our renewal of registration when the DTI did not want to renew “Kape Saboroso” as according to them, it describes the product which is against their rules. This is when we re-registered as “Cafe Rizz”.

Our Morita Blend was a hit, from the Seryoso (Black Coffee), Nagamaoy (Double Shot Espresso), Kalmado (Coffee with Milk) and so on. Coffee shops started to sprout beside us and one typhoon demolished as so we had to rebuild.

  1. Yes, I can attest that Lola Morita from Sampaguita Cineplex area had the same coffee taste as of CafeRizz. Now I know because it was handed down.
